The Swiss farmer publishing house (Schweizer Bauer Verlag) launched the Swiss Farmer Magazine (Schweizer Bauer Magazin) on March 18, 2023. Studio Thom Pfister was on board from the very beginning and developed and implemented the complete branding. The naming, the logo, the design concept, and the visual language were developed in a very short time. The screen design and programming of the online magazine as well as a launch event with exhibition and a corresponding media launch campaign were part of the assignment. A refreshing and modern design, characterized by a mix of authentic photographs and films, expressive typography, and inspiring content, was created. The print magazine is one of the worldwide first magazines to be produced entirely according to the Cradle to Cradle® Gold Standard. Only materials that are safe for the natural/biological cycle are used for it. The new magazine lives from «contrasts» and builds bridges between city and country. Sustainable consumption and knowledge about local producers are to be increased. Through inspiring stories and impressive images under the headings of country, people, life and pleasure, readers gain real insights into the diversity of Swiss agriculture.
